An Empty Place at the Seder

Something that we have done for the last couple of years is lay a place at our seder table for all the Israeli soldiers who have been kidnapped or are otherwise missing in action. At the time of our freedom, it is appropriate to remember our brothers who are still in captivity and pray for their swift release.
There are currently seven Israeli soldiers missing in action (six Jewish, one Druze). More information about them can be found on the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, although, the page in question is rather confusing and needs a thorough update.

What a beautiful, yet sobering tradition.
